Carol qualified as a Beauty Therapist nearly 25 years ago aged 28. After 10 years in publishing sales, she made a decision that her career direction needed to change. Having suffered from stress due to redundancy and pressure of work, she turned to aromatherapy in her early 20’s, and was fascinated by how the power of essential oils rather than anti-depressants, made her feel so much better.
Carol trained at Champneys College of Health & Beauty in Tring for their CIDESCO qualification, an international diploma, and, in Carol’s words, “can honestly say, it was one of the best years of my life. I had found my calling!”
From then, she worked on the cruise ships for 8 months, then came home started her first salon in a health club, where she stayed for 8 years, and employed 5 staff. She was also given the opportunity to be a Guest Presenter on QVC shopping channel which she enjoyed for 6 years.
Carol left the salon to gain her teaching qualification, while working as an International Trainer for ESPA International in Farnham.
After 3 years, she accepted an opportunity to be a distributor for a range of beauty products across the whole of the south east, which was a huge learning curve and kept her busy for the next 10 years! It also enabled her to write her own specialist beauty courses, which she continues to teach.
Now Carol has returned to her beauty therapy roots, and has been running Queen Bee in the Woods in The Sands, Farnham for the last 3 years. Carol has built an amazing business in that time and is very happy to keep it small and unique, specialising in hair removal, skincare and massage.
Carol will be running a workshop during the afternoon: Holding Back the Years During Menopause and Beyond

Kerrie Ellis is a personal branding and business image trainer and award winning Image Consultant and Stylist. She is one of the top Colour Me Beautiful consultants in Europe. She is at her best when she is helping other people to be their best, showing them how to develop a truly authentic, compelling and confident personal brand.
Kerrie graduated with a first class honours degree in Business and has a post-graduate Diploma in Marketing. As a Marketing professional, she worked in both private and public organisations, leading multi-discipline teams to deliver challenging market growth and client retention strategies – the latter 10 years of which being in the retail banking and wealth management businesses of Barclays Bank.
Wanting to focus on marketing at a more personal level, in 2006 Kerrie completed extensive training with Colour Me Beautiful, the leading image consultants in Europe, and established her Image Consultancy business to help individuals effectively communicate their personal brand. She firmly believes that first impressions count and that your ‘visual cv’ is as important as your written one. She equally believes that personal presentation and positive body language can boost self confidence and self esteem, both imperative for career and personal success.
Kerrie enjoys designing and delivering bespoke business image programmes for corporate clients, both as standalone events and as part of other training, branding and team building interventions. Recent clients include Cemex, HSBC, Allianz Insurance plc, BP, Cisco, Vacherin and Bates Solicitors.
Kerrie also thoroughly enjoys coaching women and men on a one-to- one basis. Over the last 10+ years, she has helped hundreds, if not thousands of clients, of every age and from all walks of life, and finds it hugely rewarding to hear what a difference it makes. Helping clients to feel more confident, to feel like their clothes really express their personality, that they’ve regained their style mojo, taken a step up the career ladder, or that they simply have a wardrobe full of clothes that really work for them, is so worthwhile.
Kerrie has a particular interest in helping teenagers to feel ‘body confident’ (as they grow up in our increasingly image obsessed society) and enjoys working with a variety of secondary schools to deliver interactive workshops for their students. Just knowing that she can make a positive difference to someone is what makes Kerrie want to get up and go each morning!
